Successful showing for Mountune at Autosport 2010...

Thanks to a large selection of products and vehicles demonstrating the sheer range and depth of products and solutions available to Mountune customers, perhaps it was of little wonder staff were kept on their toes for the full four-day event, held recently at the NEC, Birmingham.

Visitors could see Team AON's Focus BTCC up close and personal, complete with Mountune Racing-built 2-litre Duratec, as driven by Tom Chilton during the 2009 season.

Surrounding this unarguable show highlight was a small selection of the current engines developed, and built by Mountune Racing. These included a unique Ford Duratec developed for a single-seater racing series, the current 1.8-litre turbocharged engine found at the heart of a Formula 2 race car, a V6 Jaguar engine, and a rather eye-catching supercharged V6. The later caused quite a stir amongst show goers (visit our sister site, Mountune Racing for more info on this), but perhaps not as much as our new Concept Styling package for the Mk7 Fiesta did.

The new concept parts were warmly received by existing and new customers alike, with the rear spoiler extentions, diffuser panel and revised front bumper chin proving to be in the most high demand. With such excellent feedback during the course of the show regarding these latest additions we're pleased to announce steps are currently being taken to put the new parts into full production... keep your eyes peeled on this very website if you want to know more.

A range of apparel was also joining this years' list of things to see with new products ranging from header tanks, to polo shirts... expected to land on the Mountune online store over the next few weeks.

2010 is looking to be Mountune's biggest year yet on all fronts, certainly if Autosport International was anything to go by!

Mountune stand featured many attractions, the new Mk7 Fiesta Concept Styling certainly proved popular Tom Chilton's Team AON Focus BTCC drew huge crowds and was probably one of the most photographed vehicles of the show, too! RST V6 engine caused quite a stir; but then 10,000rpm, 500bhp in an engine of this size weighting just 83kg's is rather impressive! The stand was busy from start to finish - across all four days, particularly with a BTCC engine bay on display Viv and Gina making our new Concept Styling parts look even better; there's a Fiesta here somewhere, apparently...
